Here’s a great smoothie combo to start the day: 1/2 banana, some redcurrents, top up half and half with cranberry juice and soy milk and liberally sprinkle either oats or wheatgerm on top. Whizz till smooth. Lush.
Note: I am a recent convert to soy milk. It is supposed to be great for you, especially peeps over 45 ish. It is surprisingly creamy and very nice. I recommend getting the one enriched with vit D and calcium especially since reading this week that perhaps about 80% of the population are deficient in vit D and therefore calcium ( the two are linked). Give it a go!
